We are attracted to yoga for many reasons. Possibly the desire to stretch or become flexible, it may be to obtain relief from a physical or emotional concern. Others may simply enjoy learning how to relax. Practising yoga has many benefits, once you begin you will discover that yoga has the capacity to transform through your own unique experience.
Foundation practices develop awareness of movement and breath. The individual needs of students are supported and a beginner and more advanced student can practice side by side in the same class.

The Yoga Barn is a fully equipped yoga studio in Swanson, West Auckland. Located on a rural property the barn looks out over farmland.
At the base of the Waitakere Ranges, Swanson is a comfortable 25min drive from Auckland’s city centre or 10 mins from Henderson.
All mats and blankets are provided. Parking is on site (just outside the door).
The pleasant rural outlook and the quiet of the countryside provide a peaceful backdrop that enhances yoga practise.

Leza Schwab began teaching in 2001. She is certified to teach yoga to an advanced level of practice. As an artist and a qualified childrens yoga teacher, she uses art to explore the creative aspects of yoga. She has a background in fitness training and Iyengar yoga, and teaches in the Satyananda tradition.
As an accredited SATYANANDA YOGA® teacher, Leza has completed a two- year diploma of yoga teaching with the Satyananda Yoga Academy Australia. She regularly updates her skills and maintains professionalism and commitment to high-quality teaching.
She has been practising and teaching yoga in West Auckland for over 10 years, and offers a depth of experienced yoga teaching. With a commitment to ongoing professional development and a philosophy of lifetime learning, she continues to study with many internationally renowned yoga specialists.
There is an incredible balancing effect in the practise of yoga, both mentally and physically. Her dedication to teach and share yoga comes from experiencing these benefits through her own practice.
Leza teaches a range of classes that are a suitable for all, from beginners and babies; physical practices to meditation.
